I have to say that this is just absurd that people can think it is okay to attack someone based on body type/size. This too, can be reversed. I have seen this individuals blog and I could write a pretty lengthy post about them. But I won't. I think you handled it rather well. Like a grown up. Wait, we are grown ups. Aren't we? I love your photographs and you are a very talented person. I always love seeing you post your pictures. They are very lovely.
DEAR Texasheathen thank you very much for your kind words. 90% of the time I don't react to such lunacy. That is part of self love, I am comfortable with me. I don't have to defend myself. In this situation I was annoyed by her promotion of self-care. I don't think humiliating others is very good self-care. I'm not sure what her motivation was when she chose to make fun of me. It doesn't matter. Her disdain for my body is not going to make her happier nor is it going to make her thinner.
I started off my journey to be comfortable in my body now I continue my journey to encourage others to be comfortable in their bodies. I hope that eventually this self identified anorexic will be comfortable in her body.

So a self identified recovering anorexic thought it appropriate to take my photo, post it on her thinsperation blog and type “reverse” underneath it. I’m fine with people poking fun at my pics, my fat activism, my queer positivity, my blogs, etc. (It has been happening for two years.) What got to me was her intro at the bottom of the page. According to showmiaway it is not okay to harm oneself in pursuit of weight loss but her actions say it is okay to hurt others.
